Seizing Assets and Funding the Opposition! US Playing Games With Stolen Venezuelan Money
Let me remind you that late in January the USA imposed new sanctions on PDVSA, blocking the company's assets within the US jurisdiction. Moreover, Washington gave Venezuelan opposition Juan Guaidó part of Venezuela's assets in the US banks.
Meanwhile, since 2013 Venezuela has lost as much as $350 billion due to sanctions, the Strategic Latin American Center for Geopolitics states in its report. It equals about $12,000 per capita. What's more, sanctions haven't been imposed by the US only. In 2017, the EU did the same.
The mass migration of the population is another important problem. According to the UN estimates, around 3 million people have already fled the country. Most of them were hosted by Latin America and Caribbean countries.
